Birchbox - November

Birchbox is a monthly subscription that sends you personalized samples every month for just $10. Signing up for this monthly service gets you 4-5 deluxe beauty samples with items ranging from body care, makeup, fragrance and hair care. Each monthly subscription can be cancelled at any time, so I signed up to see what $10 got me.

I received these samples for November:
  • Kerastase Elixir Ultime
  • Guerlain Shalimar Parfum Initial
  • Thymes Eucaluptus & Kimono Rose body lotions
  • Anastasia Beverly Hills lip gloss in Sugar Pink
  • Monthly Treat: Two Paper Dolls coasters

The enclosed note card has a description of each item listed on the back along with the price points, should I decide to purchase the full sized item.

I can't really say that I am disappointed in what I received. I knew I would be receiving sample sizes so I definitely got what I paid for. Would I ever purchase these items on my own? If I wasn't familiar with them, no. I usually don't spend much on something I have never tried. But I like the concept of having samples sent by different brands and for different purposes. It gives me an opportunity to try them myself and then decide if I want to purchase the item in the future...or not! I think I will keep going with Birchbox and see what future months will bring. I have seen some goodies from other members!

Are you a member of Birchbox? What have you gotten?
If not, give it a try! Only $10 a month :)

Don't forget to comment & vote here! Thanks for your votes!

Interesting idea! Too bad nail polish isn't included, otherwise I'd be right on top of that.

I love the idea of being sent different things each month! I found a website that sent you little presents each month and I thought it was so sweet, but a bit overpriced, but with this it does seem like you get what you pay for. And with this I think it's really good that you get sample sizes so that if you don't like it you aren't wasting anything but if you like it then you know what you want to get!

@Kate - That is why I signed up! Better to spend $10 & get a few things to try out, then spend more money & have a regretful purchase!

@Tiffany - Please let me know what you think if you sign up! :)

Everyone has a love/hate relationship with their boxes. Some months can be great and others not so. HAHAHA I haven't tried it yet, but it looks intriguing. Thanks for sharing yours. Happy Tuesday Erica!

This is my 2nd month and this was definitely better than the October box. I also go the Kerastase hair product, it's excellent! I am thinking to purchase it once my redken smoothdown serum is done. I did see some other boxes that were better...one girl got nail polish!

@Larissa - Thank you for checking it out :) I will definitely stop by to read yours too!

@SassyUptownChic - I have heard the same thing...you love it or hate it! Ha! Happy Tuesday to you too!

@Bravoe Runway - So maybe they get better with each month! :)

I've heard a lot about this but haven't had a chance to look into it yet. I am kinda hesitate because I tend to not have time to try these thing out so they might just be gathering dust in my back drawer.

I've really been wanting to sign up for this. I know it's only 10 dollars a month but I can't afford it right now. Hopefully once I move I'll be able to! :)

I am loving the coasters that everyone (but me!) received in their boxes this month! I love that everyone receives something different -- here's to hoping I get some of those products you got this month!

@Samantha - That is funny because the coasters were the one thing I was blah about! Haha! Maybe if I had gotten a set I would be ok with them ;)
