Dress-y Stripes

Every once in awhile, I like to put a dress on. It's not usually my go-to uniform (I tend to feel more comfortable in pants), but I don't think there is anything more feminine than a dress. I snagged this dress from J.Crew a few weeks ago (and on sale!) and was pretty excited to throw it on this weekend. Ryan was impressed - he kept on complimenting the outfit throughout the night! Maybe I should wear dresses more often...

Luxe for Less - Miu Miu Flared Heel Pump

Today's "Luxe for Less" feature is dedicated to Miu Miu's Flared Heel Pump.

I'm sure you have seen this pump before. it's probably one of the better known shoes by Miu Miu. It's famous for it's 'flared' heel. This patent leather pump features a 5 inch heel with a 1 inch platform and retails at just under $600. It's pretty gorgeous.

But not gorgeous enough to blow $600 on!

Aldo's "Worstell" pump instantly reminded me of the Miu Miu pump. While this is comes in rich suede upper, it has a similar flared heel. The "Worstell" features a 4.5 inch heel with a 1 inch platform. Oh and it costs significantly less - just under $60!!!

Hmmm....$60 or $600...what's your pick?

I do not post my own outfit photos the way most bloggers do. I don't have someone to follow me around while I prance about in my outfit. I don't have a fancy camera either. My pics are taken with my iPhone and I am the photographer. Oh well. The Latest from Aldo

I am supposed to be on a shopping freeze...but really, that never lasts.

So I am trying to buy things only for cheap - by means of a sale or coupon only.

I am not sure if this will last either, but I am trying. I did snag up these gold puppies after posting them on a "Luxe for Less" post & since then, I have been on an Aldo kick.

My two latest buys from Aldo were also on sale so that made me feel better.

Ever since I wrote this post about corked shoes, I have been on the hunt for a cute, inexpensive pair. These sandals have a decent platform & feel pretty comfortable on. Plus I can't have enough of the cognac/flesh-toned color in my shoe collection!

(They also come in black & bone)

I saw this cute polka-dot bag in store but wasn't that in love to pay full price. I saw it on sale & immediately ordered it...I love me some polka-dots & I think they really give this bag a bit of fun & girly-ness in one sweet package.

Luxe for Less - Miu Miu Glitter Sneaker

Today's "Luxe for Less" feature is dedicated to Miu Miu's Glitter Sneaker.

This sparkly sneak is a leather lace-up low top sneaker with all-over glitter and studded silver-tone cap toe atop a rubber sole*. If gold isn't your color, it also comes in silver.

But if the price tag of $495 isn't your thing either, then walk away....

Aldo's 'Aiello' looks almost like it's Miu Miu counterpart! Minus the studs and add on a buckle, at under $45 you can snag up more than one color and not break your bank! :)
