The Latest from Sephora

It's been awhile since my last shopping trip at Sephora. I have to spread my trips (or online orders) out because Sephora is one of those places where I can get lost in the abundance of beauty products and then wander out $200 cheaper than when I started! I have been keeping a beauty shopping list, so I ventured in telling myself that I would only buy what was on my list. And I actually stuck to it!

The first necessity was a new pink blush. I have heard lots about Tarte Amazonian Clay blushes and read many reviews online, so I decided to pick it up in Dollface. I wore it yesterday and was really pleased with how long lasting it was. And Dollface is such a pretty pink color. I think it would be really flattering for most skintones.

My other need was for an eyebrow pen. I had one from a local beauty place but I wasn't really in love with it. After searching online, I came across the Anastasia Brow Pen - Long Wearing Brow Tint. I know it's advised to wear a color lighter than you would think, so I chose the Universal Light shade.

My last purchase wasn't really a necessity, but rather something that I kept forgetting - a blue eyeliner. I was pretty pleased with Sephora's own Jumbo Liner 12HR Wear Waterproof sticks in the past, so I grabbed one in the color Marine. I've been able to use these as liners but also to smudge on as an eyeshadow base!

Have you purchased anything from Sephora recently?

Sephora Goodies - Part 2

IIt's been a few months since my last Sephora haul but I had a wad of coupons burning a hole in my wallet for a few weeks now and I finally put most of them to use. I hit up a few different stores for clothing and beauty products and I might share the rest of my purchases this week. But I definitely wanted to share what my Sephora haul consisted of because every single item I bought was a first time purchase. I hope that if you have tried any of them, you will share your feedback with me!

I needed some sort of heat protectant for my hair since I regularly use a blow dryer or flat iron. I have tried a few other brands but haven't found a keeper. The Bumble and bumble. rep was in store and she highly recommended it, calling it the "primer" of hair care.

Another necessity. I will be leaving for a little fun in the sun this weekend and while I never forget to bring suncreen for my face and body, I tend to neglect my hair. Ironic for a Florida resident, right?? I should know better!

It's described as an "industrial-strength concealer" and that is what sold me. I don't have a lot to conceal on my face but I am tired of buying concealers (that aren't cheap) and finding that they don't even last the whole day. The Sephora  makeup artist applied it for me and it looked really natural blended into my skin.

I'm playing a little game with facial cleansers now. Since I have normal/dry and sometimes sensitive skin (with occasional patches of eczema on my hairline), I am trying out different brands to see which gentle cleanser works best. The reviews online looked good so I picked up a smaller tube to try out myself.

This was my VIB perk and it scared the crap out of me when I saw it on the counter. It looks like the brightest, scariest hot pink ever but as you can see here, it's not so bad!

Please share your thoughts if you have used any of these products...I'd love to hear how they worked (or didn't!) for you!

This is the *LAST WEEK* to receive a discount in my shop!
Every item is an additional $5 off!

Sephora Goodies

My family & I just returned from a weekend away in Orlando and I am super tired this morning. I will share some photos from my little getaway sometime this week but I thought I would share a recent haul from Sephora. Some (well most) of these items are a first time buy so if you have used any of these products, I would love to hear what you think!

Nars Duo Eyeshadow in Bysance & Island Fever
Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau So Fresh Eau de Toilette

I first heard of this Benefit mascara on Tiffany's blog. She raved about it so I decided to give it a whirl. While $22 is a bit much for mascara, this one is worth every penny. I don't have really thick lashes, but this puppy made them look amazing! The tiny spiked tip of the brush even catches those itty bitty lashes at your corners!

I've seen Korres lip butter glaze on previous visits to Sephora & I am really glad I tried it out. The color is pretty similar to the tube color yet it comes on as a sheer tint. It is super hydrating & feels great (not goopy) on your lips.

These Nars duos go for $33 each normally but these two combos were marked down to $10, which is why I bought them. I love my Nars blush & bronzer so I expected similar quality for their eye shadows. I was not disappointed. They look gorgeous on!

First off, how cute is this bottle?! I love it! The scent is sweet & floral and perfect for daytime. This might be something I would purchase in the full size.
It was my free 100 point perk as a VIB member.

These were the samples included in my purchase -

The Boyfriend sample smells like a feminine version of a men's scent. I think it's a great evening scent and it mixed pretty well on my skin. I passed along the Versace sample to my husband (I try to pick a men's sample each time so he can feel included in my purchases. Ha!) and it smells so good. I really like it. The Per-fekt brown gel hasn't been used yet but I am all about something to keep my brows in check!

Have you used any of the items I purchased? I would love to hear if you like them or not!
